Volunteers at NavSeekh.

Indian population comprises of almost 18% of world’s population. Out of which more than half the population is under age 30.
Apparently, India has earned its analogy to youth nation of the world. But, 24% youth is unemployed and this directly indicates the quality of education system India is following.

A major point of concern is the gap, seen in government schools and privately organized schools.
Non-government institutions charge higher fees which is not affordable by poor households and sometimes even middle class families. This gap widens the difference and, it lowers the self-confidence of students studying in government led institutions. Navseekh is trying it’s bit to reduce this gap and explain the actual necessary changes these children need to incorporate in themselves.

There are some measures any volunteer need to practice.
1. Never ever judge/treat the students on the basis of their financial background. Not even on the basis of language they speak.
2. Each student is different and each one possess a quality. If you are not working in honing their skill, please do not try to suppress it.
3. It’s commendable to help a student excel in his/her area of interest but, if student cannot find the interest, make them understand that life is not always about excelling, but living it happily. This, in itself is a great win.
4. Try to set an ideal example of a person who is always reachable and who himself strives to become a better version of what he is today.
5. Portray the vision organization is following and let the children realise and develop their hunger for education.

All in all, Navseekh is thankful of having the best people around and would love to welcome the individuals and groups who share the same interest.
